Will aprons even be 'in'...?
I found this dress for £26 in Portobello Market. It reminds me of Mrs Fox's dress in Wes Anderson's Fantastic Mr. Fox crossed with Rapunzel's dress (via the bust) and with a dash of pre-Raphaelite (via the sleeves). The best part, though, is the lacy apron-type opening at the front. So many times I have whimsically fumbled through boxes of lace in Portobello, finding bonnets and aprons and wishing I could wear them as fashion accessories without being met by gawk-eyed passers-by. It is illogical to me that aprons are not part of casual accessorising. Well, this dress is the next best thing. I intend to start the Apron Revolution....
